Precision-machined diverter pulleys for mid- and high-rise rope routing
In anything above a simple 1:1 arrangement the ropes do not run straight from sheave to hitch. Diverter pulleys set the fleet angle, keep the ropes clear of each other and the shaft, and hold the spacing the traction sheave expects. Get the groove profile wrong and the ropes wear on one flank; get the alignment wrong and they climb.
We machine the groove radius to the rope diameter rather than cutting a generic vee, which keeps the rope seated on its intended bearing surface and spreads the load across the strands. Bearings are sealed and greased for life so there is nothing to service at the top of a shaft.
Diameters, groove count and pitch are built to the roping diagram. Send the arrangement and rope size and we quote the pulley to suit.

Progressive safety gear that grips the guide rails and brings the car to a controlled stop when the governor trips. Built for gearless, bottom-pulley and cantilever car frames, with machined steel wedges and a colour-coated steel frame.

A centrifugal overspeed governor that senses car speed through a dedicated governor rope. Past the set tripping speed it grips the rope, which operates the safety gear and stops the car.

Full range of genuine Dymaxa elevator replacement parts: safety gear clutches, cantilever & MRL progressive sets, OSG sheaves, PMSM door headers, thimbles, wedge sockets, clips, and panel accessories.
